Work Permit Holders Can Study in Canada Without a Study Permit for Up to 6 Months: 2026 IRCC Rule Explained
Eligible work permit holders in Canada can now take programs lasting six months or less without applying for a separate study permit. The temporary IRCC policy is in effect until December 31, 2027, but work permit expiry dates, co-op placements and immigration work-experience rules still matter.
